Norman Construction (est. 1974) is a small, award-winning company of responsible, courteous, quality-oriented craftspeople who enjoy their work. We are full service home remodeling specialists who take great pride not only in the work we do, but also in our relationship with the Washington homeowners we serve. We are committed to creating for you the home or environment that best fits your needs and desires, with as little disruption to your life as possible.
Jim Norman started his business as a registered General Contractor Nov 22, 1974 in Spokane, WA specializing in home remodeling. Prior to this Jim worked for a painting contractor painting new homes, stained and finished doors and trim work. Jim also worked on commercial projects such as Hite Crane and Rigging, Pack River, offices in downtown Spokane and various projects in Expo 74. He soon realized that remodeling was his passion.
Jim Norman was the 1st Certified Graduate Remodelor® (CGR) in Spokane, and went on to serve 6 years on the CGR Board of Governors. Jim enjoys hunting, fishing, woodworking, and restoring Mustangs with his son.
Bill Reilly, our Production Manager, was the 2nd to receive the designation of Certified Graduate Remodelor® in Spokane. Bill had worked for us for 18 years. He is currently enjoying his retirement.
Melinda Norman was the 3rd in Spokane to receive the CGR designation. Melinda is the office manager. She enjoys spending time with her kids, going to their sporting events and photography.
We are proud that Norman Construction has the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd CGR’s in Spokane.

What is A Certified Graduate Remodelor?
Certified Graduate Remodelor (CGR) is an exclusive professional designation. The CGR Board of Governors operates the program under the auspices of the Remodelors Council of the National Association of Home Builders. The program offers CGR credentials on those in the remodeling field who meet its prescribed standards of business experience and practices and who complete the program's educational requirements.
CGR is designed to increase remodelers' professional credibility by identifying those who demonstrate exceptional business integrity, competence, and a solid track record of consumer satisfaction.
The CGR program is the industry's only designation program that emphasizes business management as the foundation of a successful remodeling company.
