What Is A CGR?

Certified Graduate Remodelor™ (CGR) is a professional designation program sponsored by the Remodelors™ Council of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB RC). The program confers CGR credentials on those working in the remodeling field who meet its prescribed standards of business experience and practices and who complete the program's educational requirements.

CGR is an exclusive professional designation designed to increase a remodelor's professional credibility by identifying those who demonstrate exceptional business integrity, competence, and a solid track record of consumer satisfaction.

The CGR program is also designed to improve a remodelor's business expertise through its requirements for continuing education. It is the industry's only designation program which emphasizes business management as the foundation of a successful remodeling company.

There are four qualifications to become a CGR

Attain a minimum of 200 points out of a maximum of 450 points on the CGR Professional Profile.
Successfully complete the required number of educational courses offered through Graduate Builder Institute (GBI), the educational arm of NAHB, as determined by the score on the Professional Profile.
