being - which is my priority. Some of the benefits that

used lumber from a structure you removed from inside our

keeping the quality high. 2. Safety — You went the extra

The work done by Norman Construction is some of the most
quality work we have seen. We feel very comfortable with
Norman
Construction working in our home. We were quite
impressed with the fact that they put cardboard down
under their work truck so in the event of drips it would
not leave a mess in the driveway.
It's nice to walk through the downstairs rooms and not
see those gaping holes that led into the unfinished
hallway closets. The new finished entrances look sharp
and the doors fit perfectly. The care and concern Norman
Construction took when doing our job was as if they were

We have enjoyed the experience of ALL our projects .
. . from the start of an idea thru the process to the
final result. The schedule is kept, cleanup each day and
those little extras that come from dealing with the
entire NORMAN company / Family. Tom's favorite
experience was watching his garage grow from a 2 to a 4
car space with the changes in roof line and deck. The
new larger shower comes in a close second. Tom is HAPPY!
I love all my updates in my kitchen and bathrooms, but
especially the WELCOME that comes from our entry with
glass, tile and green door (your favorite!) Each project
has updated our 1969 home in giving us more storage as
well as making it more energy efficient and touches that
help us as we become 'senior citizens'. (i.e. door

Overall, we feel your quality work, painting and
construction is exceptional. Our last project was a
garden window in our bathroom upstairs and a base for an
existing garden window in the kitchen.
Our kitchen window in the winter lets drafts into our
home. Now it is well insulated and comfy. I have been
able to grow bulbs I would never have attempted. I love
the bathroom one as well. It makes the small room seem
bigger and plants are the drapes to shut out exposure
and bring privacy.
For the kitchen window, Jim cut the boards to match the
outside exterior of our home. It would not be known they
weren't put there when the house was built. The kitchen
window was done by another company and though we didn't
ask for cheap - it is! However, with the outside base
Jim designed under it, it fits in with the house, is
well insulated and is sturdy enough to hold my plants!
I'm saving for my next project — matching tile and
wainscoting on that bathroom! You exceed any competition
at a fair price!

Jim remodeled our master bath, leveled our bedroom floor and replaced existing carpet and vinyl with laminate flooring. The area has gone from a very oddly laid out and unhealthy space to a clean, crisp and updated master suite. They were so quiet and unobtrusive, we hardly knew they were in the house, which was wonderful since we operate our business out of our home. They were so wonderful about closing doors and keeping an eye out for our cats and dog. I know that took some extra effort and we are grateful! Thank You!
We also had Norman Construction update our kitchen, which included working with a double ceiling, including radiant ceiling heat and overhead water pipes. The work turned out beautifully, especially considering the challenge.

Norman Construction deserves its sterling reputation. Jim Norman is a skilled craftsman who takes great pride in his workmanship. Everything he touches shows his skill, attention to detail, and overall deep knowledge of all aspects of home construction and remodeling. Jim is an experienced contractor. He schedules the work to be done in proper sequence and on a reasonable ti metable. He takes personal responsibility for any work he contracts out and he uses only reliable, experienced workmen. I always felt that Jim was on our side. He interceded on our behalf when dealing with contractors and insurance companies on true costs of repairs and replacement from damage claims. He helped us make remodeling decisions that were in our best interests. I specifically appreciate his suggestion to create a landing area at the bottom of the stairs and angle the doorways, the beautiful job he did matching the ceiling color in the living room to the fan, his suggestion to put in a tower in the basement bathroom, his very excellent advice to replace the kitchen counters and sink (I say a silent thank you every time I fix a meal), and his profoundly good advice on the best way to heat the basement.
Major projects were completed on time and frequently ahead of schedule. What a thrill to return from our California trip to find all the carpet installed upstairs and down! Jim does great finished work. He helped make a nicely designed house into a sunny, restful, comfortable home. We've been in our home 4 months. I have yet to find one iota of unfinished or careless work. Thank you for hanging in with us after the April water damage and for looking out for our best interests through the reclamation process. We appreciate everything you did for us. We would use Norman Construction for any future construction projects and we are happy to recommend Jim and Melinda to any of our friends and acquaintances.

WE ARE THRILLED! We couldn’t have asked for a better remodel experience than the one we had! The highlight for us was the attention to detail and the cleanliness during the remodel. Everything was so tidy at the end of each days work!! I’m definitely cooking more in my new kitchen! It is wonderful to have the extra cupboard space.
