South Hill Master Suite
$55,000 - 65,000
This South Hill house had the basic amenities for a bathroom, but not quite the necessary features for a spa-like master suite. The old 3ft shower and one-person tub were holding it back. We tore out the old shower and moved walls to allow for a 60"x34" shower. With a new shower valve and light overhead, it was tiled floor to ceiling with a 10"x13" ceramic field tile and a 3"x10" deco tile. The old fiberglass tub was replaced with an acrylic heated whirlpool with roman tub valve. A 12"x12" ceramic tile was chosen for the shower floor as well as the entire bathroom. Tile wainscot was set with the 10"x13" field tile and deco accent around the tub and rest of the room. A 3/8" thick clear glass hinged door was used for the shower. A new 7.5ft alder vanity was constructed and topped with a corian counter and twin sinks. Twin mirrors with custom alder frames were centered over brushed nickel faucets. Three vanity light fixtures were hung along with an alder cabinet above the new comfort height toilet. The bedroom received new carpet and pad, along with freshly painted ceiling, walls, trim, and doors.
